Broadband Max tariffs

Broadband Max is our name for the broadband service that has been all over the news recently. Internet Service Providers like us use the phrase "up to 8Mbps" when we explain what speed your connection will achieve because, in reality, the connection speed will vary according to the maximum capacity of your phone line. This can be anything from less than 512Kbps to 8Mbps and depends on many factors, such as the distance from the exchange to the termination point, the quality of both the cable in the ground and the wiring inside the phone socket.

Sadly, all these things are out of your control and ours, and rely on BT maintaining their equipment properly.

For this reason, we have to be honest and say that it is difficult to guarantee the speed of your connection until it is in place.

However, as a rule of thumb, we would expect an average Broadband Max connection speed to run at approximately 4Mbps.

Extras (Stuff for Techies)

• 4 IP addresses: £5.29 per month
• BT Enhanced Care: £14.00 per month
• Line bonding: £14.00 per 'pair' of lines

Extras can be purchased when you sign up for a broadband package.

Notes

If the monthly bandwidth quota is exceeded, additional bandwdith will be charged monthly in arrears at the rate of £2.50 per Gb.
